Phil Volan and Joleen Bell play beautifully crafted original compositions and cover tunes for fingerstyle guitar and vocals. Depending on the venue, they will perform as a duo, or with additional accompaniment by multi-instrumentalists Jody Adams, or Charlie Hall among others at concerts, conventions, festivals, churches, restaurants, and the always-loved house concert.

Joleen Bell, along with her angelic voice brings a highly developed fingerstyle guitar skill to the duo--often with a Celtic feel on many of her original songs. She adds a bouquet of harmony and supportive rhythm to the uniquely tight arrangements with Phil. In addition to acoustic  guitar, Joleen Bell plays several instruments including banjo and lap dulcimer. She has a B.A. in music from Naropa University, Boulder, CO. Since she joined up with Phil in 2003, the duo has blossomed from their mutual love of acoustic music, and rich musical past.
